Christina Adkison entered the credit union industry as an accounting specialist more than 25 years ago. Finding a passion for the credit union movement, Christina moved on to serve a multitude of roles in credit unions, including accounting, finance, asset liability management, and information technology. In 2019, she brought her talents to VolCorp, where she is now Chief Experience Officer, overseeing strategic initiatives, innovation, product development, and project management.
Today, Christina brings her diverse credit union knowledge and experience to serve as Symphony’s President & CEO. Leaning on her decades of experience navigating the hurdles of operating a credit union, she truly embodies Symphony’s mission of navigating the hurdles of operating a credit union, leading to meaningful transformation. In addition to sitting at the helm, Christina also consults with credit unions on matters including Supervisory Committee Audits, mergers, system conversions, accounting functions.

Jeff Dato

Jeffrey (Jeff) M. Dato, ERM Fellow, Master Business Continuity Professional (MBCP), is the Chief Operating Officer for VolCorp, overseeing a multitude of functions including Enterprise Risk, Human Resources, Administration and Facilities, Information Technology, Marketing and Communications, Business Development, and Operations. Prior to this role, he served as VolCorp’s first Chief Risk Officer, accountable for Asset Liability Management (ALM), Business Continuity Management (BCM), Compliance, Credit Risk, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Information Security, Legal/Contracts, and Vendor Management. Dato has over 30 years of diverse business experience – 20 of which in executive- and board-level positions. His professional roots are in financial services – Richmond Virginia-based banks, Crestar and Central Fidelity National – where he worked in Trust and Risk Management before moving on to global risk advisory leadership roles within several “Big 4” firms. For the last 15 years, Dato has served in executive leadership across the aviation, hospitality, manufacturing, and financial services industries, helping organizations improve their bottom line through enhanced operational efficiency and risk-based decisioning.
Jeff is a graduate of the College of William and Mary, receiving his BBA in Accounting and Finance, and sits on both the ERM Initiative Advisory Board within North Carolina State’s Poole School of Management and the Executive Council of the Disaster Recovery Journal (DRJ). Tyler McNair, CISSP, CISM, CRISC, C│EH, serves as VolCorp’s Director of Enterprise Risk, where he focuses on governance and strategic management of the corporate’s information security and business continuity programs. During his 12 years at VolCorp, Tyler spent seven years in technology and security, where he focused on system administration, incident response, disaster recovery, business resiliency, and information security. Additionally, Tyler was instrumental in the development and maturation of VolCorp’s security awareness training program for all corporate staff. He also served for several years in VolCorp’s operations department, where he developed a strong understanding of credit union back-office functions including item processing and electronic payments.
At Symphony, Tyler combines his knowledge of credit union operations with his expertise in enterprise risk to deliver customized advisory services to credit unions. He is passionate about creating a culture of data security and business resiliency within credit unions. Tyler can equip employees throughout your credit union with the knowledge and skills to effectively protect and secure data, and to ensure business continuity and resiliency when the unexpected occurs.
